Depends. It depends on the amount of sunshine and the distance they are driven on a daily basis.
The sophisticated battery level indicator that is built within the PowerTop frame is a perfect guide as to when golf cars need some extra power from the grid or not. Green LED lights indicate a full battery, orange lights mean that the golf car needs extra energy to complete its round (either leave it an hour of two in the full sun, or let it charge to the grid), and red lights warn the golfers to go and see a caddy master. Plain and Simple.

8. You claim PowerTops Double the Battery life of golf Cars. How is that Possible?
The number of times a battery can be used before it is worn out increases significantly as the percentage depth of discharge declines. A battery that is required to deliver 50% of its power, will provide 30% to 50% more cycles than when it is drained to 80% depth of discharge.
In other words, the battery will last approximately twice as long if it is continually being charged. There is sulfur in the acid that has a tendency to settle and become solid as the battery is discharged. To keep the sulfur mixed with the acid, the battery has to be recharged. A battery that is being charged continuously has a boiling effect which avoids the separation of the sulfur from the acid and becoming solid. This produces a longer battery life.

9. Can PowerTops be used for both a 36-volt Battery pack and a 48-volt also?
Yes, you can order either a 36volt of 48volt PowerTop. But it cannot be switched.

10. Can a Golf Car with a PowerTop Still Charge On the Grid Network?
- Yes. A PowerTop enhances your golf car with an extra power source, but it is still possible to charge it on the grid, as your caddy masters are now used to.
