How It Is Possible to give a PowerTop a 25-Year Output Warranty

Yes, our tailor-made, round solar panel comes with an incredible 25-year power output warranty.

All other components come with a 2-year parts warranty, plus an additional, conditional 2 years. If you, after the first 3, 6, and 12 months of ownership, write a review of your experiences with the PowerTops, the warranty of all components except the solar panel will be extended for an additional year – for free!

Like all warranties, our warranty includes repair and/or substitution of equipment within the warranty period, plus dislocations.

Excluded are all damages caused by incorrect using of the equipment or failures due to natural causes (overflow, electrical storm, earthquake, etc) or accidents with the vehicle that affect directly or indirectly the installed equipment. Any attempt of repairing by third parties or violation of safety stamps can cause annulment of the SolarCar warranty.

Please contact us for the Warranty Form. The warranty form is to be signed and faxed/emailed/mailed to us prior to shipment by anyone who is ordering a PowerTop for a 30-day trial rental or for the purchase of a PowerTop.

The labor cost is not covered under our warranty, but the PowerTops are completely user serviceable and the occasional spare part we have had to send out since 2006 has posed absolutely no problem for the owners to replace or have replaced by the nearest electrician coming to do the job.

But it’s more likely that you do not need the warranty at all.
